Our first functional customer parts are out the door, and the Chandler pilot line is up and running. The initial shipment of fully functional characterizations samples went to a leading customer in the AI and data center market, marking the transition from development to production. Bringing manufacturing in-house lets us control every step of the process and ship directly from our own facility. It’s a big step forward for Saras as we shift from proving the technology to building it at scale.
Together, these achievements represent more than production progress. They mark our evolution into a full-scale manufacturing company capable of delivering proven, high-performing products for the most demanding computing applications.
Moving from Development to Production
Over the past several years, Saras focused on validating our Aluminum Integrated Passive Device (AIPD™) platform and STILE™ technology for high-performance computing. With the first functional parts now in the customer’s hands, we are demonstrating that Saras’ innovations are not only viable in concept but also manufacturable at scale with repeatable performance. This marks a real shift for us.
We now handle everything in-house, from materials and fabrication to testing and quality assurance. This gives us tighter control over quality, allowing us to fix things faster, improve yields, and enhance reliability as compared with previous external production models.
A First Delivery That Reflects What’s Next
Our first customer shipment supports advanced computing platforms, including AI accelerators, GPUs, CPUs, and embedded systems used across data center, enterprise, and industrial markets. These applications are pushing silicon to its physical limits. Power efficiency, density, and latency are critical factors that determine system performance.
The challenge our customer faced centered on capacitive density within a constrained volume. As systems become denser, the distance between power sources and the load can limit efficiency and increase power losses. Our STILE technology addresses this challenge by embedding capacitors and inductors directly into the package substrate and system PCB, moving power delivery closer to the load. The result is improved power efficiency and transient response, which are key advantages for AI, data center, and high-performance computing systems.
Inside the STILE Advantage
STILE™ makes this possible by bringing capacitors and inductors together in one embeddable module. The design keeps the power path short and losses low. It also includes through-vias for power return and room to integrate other elements that improve performance, all within a compact footprint.
This vertical integration approach reduces electrical path length, minimizes parasitics, and improves overall system response. Performance verification at an independent, well-known laboratory confirmed significant performance improvements, proving what we already know: Saras is delivering best-in-class results.
The Chandler Pilot Line: A New Era of Control and Capability
While our initial shipments were the result of collaboration between teams in Atlanta and Chandler, all future production will transition fully to our new pilot line in Arizona. The Chandler site represents a major step forward in Saras’ evolution. Equipped with advanced wet and dry processing areas, it enables complete in-house manufacturing and real-time process refinement.
Having our manufacturing line under one roof allows for tighter control over every step of production. We can now monitor, measure, and optimize performance faster than ever before. This vertical integration accelerates feedback loops between design and manufacturing, ensuring consistency across builds and rapid implementation of engineering improvements.
Although the Chandler line currently operates at pilot scale, it is fully functional and capable of meeting current customer demand. Plans for expanded capacity are already in place, timed to coincide with customer production commitments. The next major milestone will be achieving a full design win with a production ramp, a transition we are well prepared to execute.
Lessons from the First Build
Delivering a first-of-its-kind technology to a top-tier customer requires both technical precision and operational discipline. Building a few parts is relatively straightforward; building thousands that meet strict performance requirements is a different challenge altogether.
Through this initial program, our engineering team gained critical insights into scaling production, validating yields, and refining process parameters. Every aspect of the build, from embedded capacitor alignment to via plating uniformity, was measured and analyzed to ensure repeatability and consistency. These learnings are now informing future production runs and strengthening our manufacturing foundation.
The achievement also reflects Saras’ culture of collaboration. Teams across engineering, process development, and operations worked around the clock to meet deadlines and customer targets. Everyone pulled together, from new engineers to veterans who’ve seen it all, and everyone shared the same goal: make it work and ship on time. That collaboration is what makes Saras who we are.
A Foundation for the Future
The launch of the Chandler pilot line and delivery of our first customer parts together mark a pivotal moment for Saras Micro Devices. We have proven our technology, validated our process, and demonstrated our readiness for the demands of modern computing.
We are open for business with reduced cycle times, improved yields, and a clear roadmap toward full-scale production. As AI workloads grow and system power challenges intensify, Saras will continue to deliver the embedded power delivery solutions that enable the next wave of computing innovation.
